Origin: Jade ornaments are rumored to have started in Ancient Korea and China. The stones modern day sources can still be found in China, as well as New Zealand and parts of Latin America.
Purpose: As Jade is a hard material it has been used for tools and knives throughout history but its most common use today is for elegant jewelry.
