There is something about this Pink beauty! Oval in shape, clean as a "whistle", big spread, pure crystal with high luster from the Mogok Mines, it weighs 3.00 carats but looks five. Some cutting blemishes that Burma cutters purposefully left behind as imperfections for us to "appreciate"!. I agree the "perfectly symmetrical cut" gems are pretty but these "native" cut gems also bring another dimension to how gems are unique and beautiful without having to look symmetrical and uniform and "perfect'! [Gemwow's school of thought encourages you to choose and follow your own tastes of what constitutes a beautiful gem. We appreciate what nature gave us and do not mind a blemish here or there.] This peice would make an excellent center piece set in jewelry. Recommend a solid back setting to bring more depth to the color and surrounding diamonds to accent its already strong brillaincy! One of our favorites! LA/June 9, 2007 |
