Weddings are joyous occassions where it is the one time a man usually gets to wear a ring after the marriage vows. It could be a simple gold band to one set with ruby, jade or diamonds. A well dressed man wearing some jewelry is considered cultured, smart and tasteful person. There is no need to "over kill" by wearing ostentatious pieces too big for your fingers or one that is extremely "flashy", this of course has exceptions for example Liberace or performers in show biz who feel the need to add "sparkle and glitter" for drawing added attention and interest to themselves.
What ever your choice, your jewelry will reflect your personality, character and mood. For many, it is jewelry is a success symbol not unlike a Mercedes or a BMW.
