It is interesting to see the range of colors from light green to olive to brown. Moderately to heavily included, this lot is a good study for further investigation into the internal world of kornerupine. Originating from Sri Lanka, the stones show a multitude of included crystals, zircons, some metamict, feathers, needles, etc. Other tests maybe applied to determine the cause of different gemstone coloration. This one is more or less for the gemologiclally inclined. |
